What can A Ryobi Reciprocating Saw Cut?

12/02/2025, 18:05

RYOBI Reciprocating saws can cut timber, small tree branches, metals, plastic, plaster/ drywall, depending on the blade inserted.

Reciprocating saws are often referred to as demo saws as they are comfortably used cutting vertically and are usually designed for cutting at the material unlike other saws that usually require the material to be brought to a bench to be cut.

Due to the Reciprocating saws motion, it will usually provide a rough cut and are not typically used for fine work.

Check the blade for its cutting and material capacity or packaging on an aftermarket blade.

In some instances, this can also be done by looking at the blade tooth profile:

  • Fine teeth usually indicate that a blade can be used on metal.
  • A more aggressive tooth profile is usually only for wood.
