Making a cut with a Ryobi Reciprocating saw

  • Make sure you take the correct safety precautions when using a Reciprocating Saw
    • - Eye Protection
    • - Ear Protection
    • - Gloves & Facemask (depending on the material)
    • - Closed toed shoes.
    • - Appropriate Clothing
  • Secure your work material that it does not move during cutting.
  • Insert the desired blade and connect the saw to a power supply (Battery or mains power)
  • Grip the saw firmly with two hands: one on the trigger handle and the other supporting the saw.

  • Keep the shoe assembly close to the material being cut.

  • Be aware of the area around your cut, and the path and final position of the saw, during & after the cut.
  • Let the saw reach full speed before guiding the blade into the material.
  • Let the saw and the blade do the cutting; Do not force the saw or apply excessive force.
  • Hold the saw firmly as you finish the cut and bring the blade to a stop before sitting the tool down.
