Drill speed, clutch and mode selection tips
1. Speed selection
- Position 1 (low speed): for drilling larger holes.
- Position 2 (high speed): for fast drilling smaller holes.
2. Adjustable clutch
- When drilling, set the clutch to the drill mode—this is usually indicated by a drill bit icon, often positioned beyond the highest numbered torque setting.
Speed adjustment for larger hole saws
- If the drill stalls while operating at high speed, switch to low speed. Lower speeds deliver more torque, which is better suited for driving larger diameter bits through tougher materials.
