Edging along hard surfaces
- This can occur from edging along hard surfaces such as concrete, pavers, rocks, etc.
- While it’s okay for edging along these surfaces, this can cause significant wear on the blade when you come in constant contact with hard surfaces.
- Slowing down your forward movement speed while edging will help with steadying the edger when in use.
Edging on long overgrown edges
- Initial edging on long or overgrown edges or defining a new edge can cause more blade wear than regular maintenance edging.
- Once an edge has been defined, it’s recommended that you maintain the edge every two weeks to ensure the best finish and help prolong the life of the blade.
- If you are creating an initial edge, it’s recommended to purchase an extra blade to use for regular maintenance.
