What is the difference between SDS+ & SDS MAX?

SDS Max drills are larger and built for heavy-duty work. They use a bigger chuck that fits only SDS Max bits. SDS Max bits won’t fit into an SDS Plus chuck. However, with the right adaptor, an SDS Plus bit can sometimes be used in an SDS Max chuck.
