Clearing a Jam in Your Brad Nailer
Safety First
- Disconnect the tool from the air supply before performing any checks.
- Always keep the tool pointed away from yourself and others.
Jam Clearing Steps
- Remove all fasteners from the magazine.
- Lift the latch and open the jam release mechanism.
- Insert a flat-blade screwdriver into the driving mechanism and push the driver back to free the jammed fastener.
- Carefully remove the jammed nail.
- Close the jam release and secure the latch.
- Reconnect the air supply.
- Reload fasteners into the magazine.
Fastener & Magazine Maintenance
- Use the correct gauge nails for your nailer model.
- Refer to the ratings plate on your tool for specifications.
- Confirm the collation angle of the nails matches the magazine design.
- Ensure nails are straight, clean, and free of corrosion.
- Keep the magazine clean and dry.
- Remove any sticky residue regularly—especially with frequent use.
