You may need to review the type of battery you’re using for your tool or project.

  • Where more power is required for longer, we generally recommend bigger capacity batteries for these projects like the 18V ONE+ 4.0AH Twin Battery Pack (RB184040C). These batteries hold more charge and allow you to run tools such as Circular Saws, Reciprocating Saws or Belt Sanders where more power is required for longer.
  • For certain garden tools, such as Mowers, an 18V ONE+ 9.0Ah Lithium+ HP™ Battery may be the most suitable.
  • To avoid running out of charge too frequently, we also recommend the RYOBI Superfast charger (RC18150U). This charger will re-fill your 4.0Ah or 5.0Ah batteries in as little as 60 minutes.
  • If you experience very fast charge depletion of your battery, the battery itself may be faulty. We recommend testing a different battery with your tool to see whether the initial battery has lost its capacity over time.
  • If the issue isn’t resolved, and it’s still within the warranty period, take it back to the retail store along with your receipt or proof of purchase for warranty assessment.
