How to maintain a battery-operated RYOBI Nailer or Stapler

  • Regular basic maintenance will help provide trouble free operation.
  • Collated nails and staples usually have glue on them to bind them together, which over time, can leave a residue on the magazine and the firing pin. 

 

To remove the residue: 

Step Action
1. Disconnect the battery from the tool.
2. We recommend cleaning the magazine track with lubricant spray and wiping clean with a cloth.
3. For Nailers or Staplers which have a top latch, we recommend spraying lubricant onto the cloth and wiping clean the area around the latch and firing pin.
