Safety First: Remove the battery or disconnect from power
Important: Always wear the correct protective equipment before maintenance. Dust mask or respirator P2, FFP2, or N95.
Ensure belt alignment
Belt sanders have an overlapping joint that must be fitted correctly.
• Follow the directional arrows printed inside the belt.
• Match the belt arrows with those on the tool—incorrect alignment can cause the belt to break at the join.
Check belt tension
A loose belt may slip off during operation.
• Refer to your sander’s manual for proper tensioning instructions.
Inspect belt condition
A worn or damaged belt is more likely to come off.
• Replace the belt if you notice tears, frayed edges, or excessive wear.
Avoid excessive pressure
Applying too much pressure can strain the belt and cause it to slip off.
• Let the sander do the work—apply light, even pressure.
Clean the tool
Dust and debris can affect belt tracking.
• Inspect the tool and clean any build-up using a brush.
• If significant debris is found, the tool must be cleaned at home before further use.
